FAQs

  • Q: If I use a mail-order pharmacy, can I still save money on my eligible pancreatic enzymes?
A: Yes. You can use your loyalty card every time you refill your prescription and save money on your copay.
  • Q: What is the Savings Request Form?
A: The Savings Request Form is something you use only if the pharmacy does not process your claim with the loyalty card. Fill out the Savings Request Form and mail, fax, or email it with a copy of the pharmacy receipt using the contact information listed on the form. Be sure to complete all sections, as incomplete information will delay reimbursement.
  • Q: Help! I am having trouble logging in to the LIVE2THRIVE website. What do I do?
A: If you forgot your user ID and/or password, you can recover your lost credentials.

Make time for pancreatic enzymes1-3

As you grow and develop, pancreatic enzymes remain an important part of your overall health if you are pancreatic insufficient. Pancreatic enzymes help digest and absorb the foods you eat. If you forget or don't take your pancreatic enzymes before each meal or snack, you may have trouble gaining weight and height. You may have more frequent, bad-smelling bowel movements or get an intestinal blockage, which is when food or liquid is kept from passing through your small or large intestine.

If you think taking your pancreatic enzymes doesn't fit into your busy schedule or you may feel embarrassed—don't worry. Work with your teachers and school nurse to figure out the best way to take pancreatic enzymes at school. Talk with your parents and CF care team about how to keep your pancreatic enzymes with you if you have after-school activities or go out with friends. That way, pancreatic enzymes are available when needed. You can also follow these tips to help remember to take your pancreatic enzymes:

  • Have a compact carrying case or pill box that can hold a meal's worth of pancreatic enzymes. Keep it in something you use every day (such as jacket pocket or purse)
  • Place full containers of pancreatic enzymes in places you go every day (such as kitchen, desk at school, school locker, backpack, purse)
